Assembly of Pupils:

The school is open for pupils from 8:10 am to 2.00 pm.

The front gate is open from 8am. Designated parents kindly wait with children who may have arrived at this time. They will monitor staff cars driving in up to 8.10am. At 8.15am the Designated Parents send all children who are waiting, up to the inner gate, where Ms Atkin will supervise their safe entry to their designated entrance doors.  Ms Atkin, Mr Moynihan and Liz will remain at the Front Gate until 8.25am. The Front gate will be closed promtly at 8:25am. Children are marked as LATE from 8:25am onwards.

Mr O’Shea and Mrs O'Connor will open and remain at the back gate from 8:15 am to 8:25am. The back gate will be closed promtly at 8:25am.

If there is an emergency which prevents you from having your child in school on time, please call Ms Adamson at 01-8331554 and she will specially come down to the inner gate and let your child in.

Dismissal of Pupils:
Teachers must return to their classrooms after 1pm (infants) and 2pm (all others) to continue their work.  It is not their responsibility to take care of children who are not collected on time.

If an emergency arises and you cannot be on time collecting your child at 1pm or 2pm, please call the school at 01-8331554.

Infants finish school at 1.00 pm and file out from their rooms in an orderly manner, accompanied by their class teachers, using their designated exit doors.

Parents wait in the yard and the teachers hand over the children into their care, child by child. The Front Gate will close promptly at 1:10pm.

All other classes finish school at 2:00pm. The children will line up in their class lines in front of the front steps and each class teacher will ensure that the children in their class are handed over to their parents or leave the school safely if written permission has been given by their parents for the child to go home alone. Some children whose parents choose to use the back gate will be collected similarly from the class lines. The Front and Back Gate will close promptly at 2:10pm.

Children who are not collected on time at 1pm and 2pm will wait in the Front Office, as the teachers must return to their classrooms to continue their work.
